What is Bastin & Fils?
Based in France, Bastin & Fils specializes in vegetable tanning using time-honored regional techniques. Since 1981, the tannery has been owned by a respected French shoemaker and has focused primarily on producing premium sole leather.
Although sole leather remains their signature product, a limited amount is specially prepared for small leather goods. This rare leather combines the remarkable strength of sole leather with a smoother, making it ideal for wallets, key cases, and accessories. It is features a natural champagne color that highlights the beauty of vegetable tanning. The tanning process begins with carefully selected hides and chosen for their quality and suitability. Then slowly tanned over the time so the result is a leather of remarkable depth, resilience, and elegance.
Bastin & Fils Leather at WILDSWANS
WILDSWANS has secured a new batch of Bastin & Fils leather for a limited selection of small leather goods. Some pieces sold out quickly, but several exceptional items are still available.
MORRIS is a refined money clip wallet with a minimalist design. It includes a card pocket and an additional inner pocket for frequently used cards or folded bills.
KF-003 is one part of the collaborative series with CORBO, crafted with meticulous attention to construction, feel, and long-term durability.
SURFS1 is a slim long wallet designed for those who prefer a streamlined profile while carrying only essential cash and cards.
LEAF is a compact key holder that can help you bring your keys more easily. If you use it with the rings that will be more helpful.
CLIPPER3 is one of WILDSWANS’ signature key cases, capable of holding up to four keys and equipped with an eyelet for attaching to bags or belt loops.
DAKAR is a larger interpretation of CLIPPER III, suitable for smart keys. The leather will gradually softens and molds beautifully with use.
BLISTER(L) is a generously sized long wallet with abundant card slots and space for bills and coins. The broad flap showcases the leather’s aging particularly well.
